The Majority Party PA is a political action committee. It was created to do something no other political action committee or political party does: Work to get the government the majority of PA citizens want. That’s it. There’s no ideology other than the right of citizens to govern themselves.
This is the unique promise of America and Pennsylvania, a promise denied by special interest money that has captured the major political parties. Today, no political party truly represents the majority of citizens. But The Majority Party PA will.
The agenda for The Majority Party PA comes exclusively from scientific public opinion research. There is no other agenda. What we think as individuals working for The Majority Party PA doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is what the majority of our fellow citizens think.
Independent professional public opinion researchers serve on a Polling Standards Team to ensure that opinion polls meet the highest national standards of the American Association for Public Opinion Research. These standards include complete transparency in how a poll is conducted and what its results are.
Every public opinion survey used to set the agenda for The Majority Party PA has to pass three tests:
- Does it meet the technical standards of AAPOR? If not, we don’t use it.
- Are the questions, and the order of questions, presented without bias as much as possible? If not, we don’t use it.
- Do the results of any given survey, when combined with other surveys, give us confidence that the majority of citizens have settled their opinion on any given issue. If not, we wait for further polling until we’re convinced we know what the majority of our fellow citizens want.
To eliminate any possibility of imposing an agenda on The Majority Party PA, we will not commission public opinion surveys. We will rely on only surveys conducted by others.

At various times during the year, political action committees like The Majority Party PA are required to file reports that detail contributions and expenditures. The reports go to the PA Department of State’s Bureau of Commissions, Elections and Legislation (BCEL). Because of budget cuts and understaffing, it takes a while for BCEL to get the reports on line for citizens to see, and even then there is little quality control over the accuracy of the information.
We can’t wait.
When we submit a report to BCEL, we will post it here for you and everyone else to see. Click below for the first report covering 2011. As we file new reports, we will add them here.

Please share The Majority Party PA with those you know who are tired of a government that ignores what the majority of us want. Public officials understand numbers of people and amounts of money. The more of us there are who donate just five bucks a month, the stronger the message and the sooner we’ll get a government that serves the majority of citizens.
